Hazel Creek is one of the most unique areas in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Its beauty rivals anything in Western North Carolina, and its remoteness can rarely be found.  You will travel by boat across Fontana Lake to the mouth of Hazel Creek, and with a short hike you will be wetting a line in one of the most productive wild trout streams in all of the southeast. These waters are hallowed by the locals who grew up fishing these waters, and still produce wild trout in the 20"plus range.  If you have never fished or evened hiked this area, it is a must, and should be on all anglers bucket list.

You will come by the morning of or day before your trip to be outfitted with all your fly fishing gear. Lunch is provided for this trip.  The day of your trip you will meet your guide at the marina, to load up your gear for the boat trip across the lake.  The things recommended to bring are sunscreen, hat or visor, polarized sunglasses, comfortable weather apropriate clothing, NC Fishing License and we'll take care of the rest.

These trips book up fast, so a reservation is required.  Contact us for availability.
